Sue White, owner and founder of C and S Pearls started her career in Jewellery when she learnt to string pearls at the London Pearl company aged just 16 and she hasn’t stopped since! Sue worked in Hatton Garden perfecting her skills in jewellery repairs, ring sizing and polishing. Here she also learnt about trade supplies and bullion during her time in the heart of London’s famous jewellery quarter.
Sue then worked for a top jewellery designer for two years sorting rough diamonds and learnt jewellery design. She then worked for 4 years at a gemstone dealers, flying out to Zurich to purchase stock.
Sue gained an A grade in her FGA Foundation with the arrival of her son Cory (delightfully) interrupting progress on the course! She then returned to the jewellery trade learning assay, how to estimate repairs accurately, plating and more with a jewellery workshop, then in 2015 started her own jewellery repair and creation business. She is also now passing on her skills to Cory who is showing a flair for the work!
